Grades and Transcripts

Pierce :

Grades are not mailed to students.  Students are able to receive their grades through the student Telephone Enrollment Program (STEP) or on the Student Information System.

You will be able to hear your semester grades on the STEP System as they are received and entered into the computer, beginning the day after finals end.

1.  College selection: Press 5 for Pierce

2.  Semester: Press 0 for Winter, 1 for Spring, 2 for Summer or 3 for Fall

3.  Enter your Student ID Number

4.  Enter your PIN (Personal Identification Number)

5.  Press 3 for your semester grades.

If you need a copy of your grades, you can obtain a grade printout by accessing the

Student Information System: http://www.laccd.edu/student_information/sis_logon.asp

The grade printout is NOT a transcript or a Verification of Enrollment.


UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS

If you attended Pierce College after 1974, you may view (and print) your transcript online at: 

http://www.laccd.edu/student_information/sis_logon.asp

If you last attended Pierce College more than five years ago, your record may need to be brought out of archive before you can access it online. Please call Admissions & Records if you have difficulty viewing your transcript online.  If you owe any fees or have other holds, the system will not allow you to view and/or print your transcript. 

The printout of the transcript you view online is NOT an official transcript.


HOW TO ORDER YOUR OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS

An official transcript is a record of all the courses you completed at Pierce College and the grades you received. It will also include any degrees you were awarded by Pierce, as well as honors such as placement on the Dean's list or membership in Alpha Gamma Sigma. If you are requesting your transcript to be sent to another school, keep in mind that most schools only consider the transcript "official" if they receive it in the original sealed envelope.

To request your transcript by mail, download the form at:

 Alternatively, you may send a written request, with the following information

  • Name

  • Any other names

  • Social Security Number and/or college assigned ID number

  • Birthdate

  • Dates of Attendance (to the best of your knowledge).

  • Number of copies required

  • Address where transcripts are to be sent

  • Your signature

  • Your current address and phone number

  • Payment by personal check or money order made payable to "Los Angeles Pierce College"

You may also request your transcript in person at the Admissions and Records Office, by filling out the pink Transcript Request Form. When requesting transcripts in person, you are required to present a valid picture ID.

You are entitled to two transcripts (non-emergency) or verifications of enrollment free of charge in your lifetime. After that the charge for transcripts is $3.00 each. It usually takes 10 working days for your transcript to be processed.

Emergency transcript service is available (except during times when end of semester grades are being processed). With emergency service, you will receive your transcript on the spot unless you attended prior to 1974. If you mail in a request for emergency service, your transcript will be mailed within two working days from the date the request is received. The cost for EACH emergency transcript to $10.00.  The Admissions and Records Office accepts payment in cash or check only.  Credit/debit cards are NOT accepted.

You may request that your transcript be mailed by the US Post Office Express Mail Service. Please include a prepaid and addressed mailing envelope with your request. We cannot honor requests for any private overnight or express mail service. Send transcript requests to:
